Sunday 2K Walk for Awareness Set For Sunday, October 16
The Komen North Florida Race for the Cure will again host the Komen North Florida Sunday Walk for Awareness on October 16, 2016 at the Bolles School. The popular 2K began years ago to accommodate those whose religious practices prevented them from participating in the Komen North Florida Race for the Cure occuring on Saturday, October 15, 2016.
“The Walk for Awareness is also an excellent occasion for those who prefer an event with a smaller crowd,” said Executive Director, Delores Wise. “This 2K course provides a stunning stroll along the St. Johns River and we are grateful for Bolles School in Mandarin to host us for the fourth year.”
DATE: Sunday, October 16, 2016
TIME: 8:00 AM
PLACE: Bolles School, 7400 San Jose Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32217
Registration is conveniently included on the Komen North Florida Race for the Cure portal. Register today.

This event will permit Sabbath observers to participate and support in Komen’s event, which raises money for education, screening, research, and the eradication of breast cancer. We encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the beautiful stroll along the St. Johns River at the Bolles School. Parking is free.
Walk participants can create teams and fundraise as those who participate in the Race for the Cure® and receive the same goody bags and Race t-shirts. Refreshments will be provided, also. A survivor recognition ceremony will be held prior to the start of the Walk.
