Accepting Applications for 2016-17 Community Grant Funds – Apply Online

Susan G. Komen® North Florida is proud to announce the availability of grant funds for fiscal year 2016-2017. Now accepting applications for breast health screening, education and treatment programs from nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies and educational institutions in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties are eligible for funding.

The maximum Komen North Florida grant award for the 2016-17 award year (April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017) is $20,000.

The promise of Susan G. Komen® is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for everyone and energizing science to find the cure.

Susan G. Komen runs one of the most innovative, responsive grant programs in breast cancer today. In addition to funding research, the Affiliate funds non-duplicative, community-based breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment projects for the medically underserved in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties.

Our grant cycle runs from April 1, 2016 through March 31, 2017.

Please Note:  Susan G. Komen North Florida is not a direct service provider.  We do not provide funds directly to individuals for screening or treatment, nor do we determine individual eligibility, make referrals or influence the screening or treatment decisions of the organizations we fund.

The is built around the Affiliate’s Statement of Need, which conveys the guidelines for the types of programs Komen and the Affiliate are willing to fund. The Statement of Need and Request for Application (RFA) are both based on findings from the Community Profile Report, which is the Susan G. Komen North Florida’s strategic plan. The Statement of Need is included as part of the RFA.

The RFA also sets the rules for applying for Komen North Florida Affiliate grants, including deliverables under the grant contract, evaluation criteria, grants structure, budget and other qualifying guidelines that must be met before the proposal is sent to review.
