Susan G. Komen® North Florida Announces New Development Director
Susan G. Komen® North Florida is pleased to announce the addition of Cynthia Kruty to its team. Cynthia will focus on diversifying and expanding the current fundraising strategies with emphasis on annual giving, third party events and special events, including Race for the Cure® within Komen North Florida. She brings creativity, a worldview and a tremendous work ethic to Komen North Florida and a strong familiarity within our five-county service area.
Cynthia joins Komen North Florida as Development Director to augment Komen North Florida’s fundraising activities as well as assist in the overall marketing for the company. “I am focused on multiplying the fundraising programs within Komen North Florida and look forward to serving my community,” Cynthia said. “Knowing that we are committed to returning 75% of our net proceeds back to our community for the betterment of woman’s breast health is a strong motivator.”
“As the need for breast health education and breast cancer treatment continue to increase in North Florida, we are thrilled to have Cynthia join our team, helping us build business relationships on the local level within our five-county service area. Her upbeat personality, knowledge, and professionalism will represent Komen North Florida well,” states Komen North Florida’s Executive Director, Delores Wise.
Cynthia grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and graduated from Florida State University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Public Health. Before joining Susan G. Komen® North Florida, Cynthia experienced working for the Florida Department of Health, as well as within the managed care and home health fields.
Cynthia has a passion for and commitment to bettering the lives of those in the community around her, and continues to strive to do so in this position. Cynthia is ecstatic about this opportunity as Development Director and is determined to help find a cure for breast cancer. In her free time she enjoys taking her dog, Zoey, to the dog park, going to the beach, fishing, watching football (go ‘Noles!), and traveling to new places and trying new restaurants.
